Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a Medical Assistant to support clinical operations across multiple sites. You will perform rooming tasks, collect vitals, assist physicians with procedures, and handle lab duties including venipuncture and POCT.

You will also administer medications, vaccines, and manage referrals, imaging orders, and patient communications while maintaining a clean, compliant workspace.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a clinical practice as a Medical Assistant.
• Ability to perform routine and complex clinical tasks within MA scope after demonstrated competency.

Responsibilities

• Rooming/visit tasks including vital signs, medication reconciliation, medical history, health maintenance and screenings.
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered.
• Performs lab duties including venipuncture, specimen handling, POCT and CLIA-waived tests.
• Administers medications and vaccines following medication administration rights.
• Manages referrals, insurance authorizations, scheduling, and patient messaging.
