Advocate Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will conduct rooming, vital signs, history taking, and health maintenance tasks while assisting providers with procedures and coordinating lab work.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
AHA BLS certification required.
Two years of clinical MA experience.
Current Medical Assistant certifications from the listed bodies.
Demonstrates professional practice advancement through governance or related certificates.

Responsibilities

Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows policies and procedures.
Performs rooming/visit tasks including vitals, history, and screenings.
Assists providers with procedures and lab duties.
Performs venipuncture, specimen handling, and POCT per standing orders.
Administers medications and vaccines following rights of administration.
Handles tasks like refills, authorizations, scheduling, and referrals.
Maintains clean work environment and ensures equipment is functional.
May assist with training and onboarding.
