Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Assistant to support patient intake, vitals, specimen collection, and front-office tasks across our clinics. You will prepare exam rooms, update EMRs, assist clinicians, and help coordinate patient flow in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires a 330-hour accredited Medical Assistant program, current BLS, and ability to work full-time with a 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a post-secondary Medical Assistant program with at least 330 clock hours of instruction.
• Current certification or registration with a recognized MA certifying body (AAMA/NCCT/AMCA/NAHP/NCMA/AMT) or eligible for certification.
• AHA BLS certification; non-licensed must obtain before end of orientation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination, take vitals, review history.
• Assist physicians and staff, prepare exam rooms, and manage supplies.
• Perform clerical duties: registration, scheduling, medical records, and charting in EMR.
