Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with a medically oriented training program (330 clock hours)
• Current certification from AAMA/NCCT/AMCA/NAHP/NCMA/AMT or approved by the board
• AHA BLS certification required; non-licensed staff must obtain before orientation

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exam including vital signs and history
• Assist physicians and staff; maintain exam rooms and supplies
• Perform EKGs and point-of-care testing; verify orders
• Handle front-office tasks: registration, scheduling, medical records and discharge forms
• Cross-train for Patient Reception Rep duties as needed
