Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support clinicians and enhance patient flow in a busy care environment. You will prepare exam rooms, assist with examinations, and help document patient encounters with accurate vital signs and records in the EMR.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, at least two years in a direct patient care role, and AHA BLS certification. The role features full-time hours, strong team collaboration, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of work experience as a medical assistant, EMT or other direct patient care related role.
• AHA BLS; non-licensed must obtain before end of orientation period.
• Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of vital signs, medical terminology, basic data entry, and medical record management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and assist providers with patient examinations.
• Review charts, verify lab work and diagnostic procedures.
• Assist with patient registration, scheduling, and medical records documentation.
• Input data into EMR and scheduling systems accurately.
• Maintain infection control and sanitize exam rooms between patients.
• Cross-train for Patient Reception Rep duties as needed.
• Perform additional clinical and clerical duties as required.
