Job summary

Capital Health System, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to prepare patients for exams, take vitals, collect specimens, and assist clinicians across multiple duties in a primary care setting.

The role requires a post-secondary medical assisting program, current CMA/NCCT/AMCA/NAHP/NCMA/AMT certification, and AHA BLS. Front desk support and documentation in EMR are essential parts of daily tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a post-secondary medical assisting education program accredited by NHA/CAHEA/ABHES or similar.
• Must maintain current certification from listed medical assisting certifying bodies or equivalent registration.
• AHA BLS required before orientation ends.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination by taking vitals and recording medical history.
• Assist physicians and staff and maintain supplies and forms for testing.
• Perform injections (IM/SC) and basic point-of-care testing per policies.
• Handle front desk duties including patient registration, scheduling, and discharge paperwork.
