Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient intake, vitals, and specimen collection in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The role requires a post-secondary medical assisting program with 330 clock hours, national certification or eligibility, and AHA BLS. You will assist physicians, maintain exam rooms, perform ECGs, document in EMR, and support front-office tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a post-secondary medical assisting program with 330 clock hours.
• Must maintain current certification from a recognized medical assisting certifying body.
• AHA BLS required; non-licensed must obtain before end of orientation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination by taking vitals and history.
• Maintain exam rooms and prepare supplies for testing.
• Assist physicians and staff during patient encounters.
• Perform ECGs and point-of-care testing per policy.
• Document medical information in EMR and manage records.
• Coordinate front office functions including check-out, referrals and scheduling.
