Job summary

Capital Health seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care across primary and specialty services. The role involves preparing patients for examinations, recording vital signs, and coordinating with care teams.

You will assist with procedures, manage records in the EMR, and help with front-office duties to ensure efficient patient flow. The position requires a high school diploma and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, with appropriate certifications and BLS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 330 clock hours of medical assisting training.
• Certification from AAMA/NCCT/AMCA/NAHP/NCMA or AMT or approved agency.
• AHA BLS certification is required or must be obtained before end of orientation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs and recording history.
• Clean exam rooms and prepare equipment for procedures.
• Assist physicians and staff and verify specimen orders.
• Register patients, schedule appointments, and manage medical records.
• Perform ECGs and point-of-care testing per policy and precautions.
• Document medical information in the EMR and maintain organized files.
• Collaborate with front office and ancillary staff for smooth patient flow.
• Perform additional clinical and clerical duties as needed within scope of Capital Health.
