Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant for Glenbrook Hospital in Illinois. This full-time role requires reliability for a 40-hour work week and includes travel to other locations as needed.

You will perform front office duties including answering phones, scheduling, patient registration, and insurance verification, as well as basic clinical tasks such as vitals and phlebotomy if required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assisting program preferred but not required.
• CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; MA certification preferred but not required.
• One year of work experience in a medical office or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones
• Schedule appointments
• Collect co-payments
• Complete patient registration
• Provide other administrative support to the physician practice
• Check in and check out patient
• Verify insurances
• Greet patients and escort them to exam room
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
• Provide front office support as needed
• Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required

Education
