Travel to other sites may be required based on department needs. Responsibilities include answering phones, scheduling, registrations, collecting co-pays, verifying insurances, and basic vitals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of accredited medical assisting program preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones
• Schedule appointments
• Collect co-payments
• Complete patient registration
• Provide administrative support to physician practice
• Check in and check out patients
• Verify insurances
• Greet patients and escort to exam room
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications, and reason for visit
• Provide front office support as needed
• Perform basic vitals (BP, height, weight)
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required
