Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant to join the Glenbrook Hospital team. The role includes front desk responsibilities, patient registration, insurance verification, and basic vital signs. Phlebotomy and injections may be required, with CPR certification mandatory.

The position offers full or part‑time hours, travel to other locations as needed, and a benefits package including health options and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; accredited medical assisting program preferred but not required.
• Certification: CPR certification through American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT, AAMA, ARMA, CCMA, CMA, MAC, AMCA) preferred but not required.
• Experience: One year of work experience required; prior work in a medical office preferred; on‑the‑job training available.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and schedule appointments.
• Collect co-payments and complete patient registration.
• Provide administrative support to the physician practice and assist with front desk tasks.
• Check in/out patients and verify insurances.
• Greet patients and escort to exam rooms; document vital signs, allergies, medications, and reason for visit.
• Perform basic vitals (BP, height, weight); phlebotomy and injections may be required.
