Job summary

Endeavor Health's Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview seeks a Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant to support physicians in Neurology. You will answer phones, schedule appointments, collect co-pays, register patients and provide front-office assistance.

A high school diploma is required; completion of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred. CPR certification is required; MA credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program preferred.
• CPR certification through the American Heart Association required.
• Experience in a medical office is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones.
• Schedule appointments.
• Collect co-payments.
• Complete patient registration.
• Provide front-office support to the physician practice.
• Check in and check out patients.
• Verify insurances.
• Greet patients and escort to exam room.
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for visit.
• Provide basic vitals like BP, height and weight.
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required.
• Perform basic administrative tasks as needed.
