Qualifications

• CPR certification through the American Heart Association required.
• One year of work experience in a medical office or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones
• Schedule appointments
• Collect co-payments
• Complete patient registration
• Provide other administrative support to the physician practice
• Check in and check out patients
• Verify insurances
• Greet patients and escort them to exam room
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications, and reason for visit
• Provide front office support as needed
• Perform basic vitals (BP, height, weight)
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Accredited medical assisting program graduate preferred

CPR certification through the American Heart Association required

Medical Assistant Certification (AMT, AAMA, ARMA, CCMA, CMA, MAC, AMCA) preferred
