Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team in Dayton, OH. You will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care and a positive guest experience.

The role combines medical assisting duties with front-desk responsibilities to support the patient journey from check-in to follow-up. Requirements include a minimum of 1 year as a Medical Assistant, graduation from a MA program, CPR/BLS, and preferred phlebotomy experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification or registration is strongly preferred; required in states where certification/registration is mandated.
• CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to room and ensures exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, bandage wounds, assist with procedures.
• Prepares and administers medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, documentation, referrals, and other care coordination.
• Records accurate data in the medical record per guidelines.
• Process test results and share timely results with patients.
• Participates in outreach to patients to drive engagement within eligible groups.
• Maintains clinical and office supplies and equipment.
