Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our care team in Ohio. The MA will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver high-quality patient care and create an exceptional guest experience.

The role blends medical reception duties with clinical responsibilities to support the full patient journey. We value a patient-first approach and require CPR/BLS certification at start date; graduation from a MA program and MA certification/registration are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or other related program.
• National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred. MA certification or registration is required for employment in States where certification/registration is required.
• CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Review prior medical information and gather relevant updated health information for the provider.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, bandage wounds, assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer approved medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider.
• Partner with care team to develop patient care plans and address gaps in care.
• Front desk duties including patient scheduling, medical record requests and coordination of referrals.
• Record data in medical records according to documentation guidelines.
• Process test results and communicate outcomes to patients as directed.
• Participate in outreach to patients to drive engagement among eligible groups.
• Maintain clinical and office supplies and equipment.
