Job summary

Marathon Health, LLC is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant in Dayton, OH to support a primary care team. The role combines clinical tasks with front-desk responsibilities to enhance the patient experience.

Responsibilities include taking vitals, drawing blood, administering injections and immunizations, preparing medications, and documenting in the medical record. The ideal candidate has 1 year in primary care and CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or other related program.
• National or state MA certification or registration is strongly preferred.
• MA certification or registration is required for employment in States where certification/registration is required.
• CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are thoroughly cleaned and stocked.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, bandage wounds, assist with procedures.
• Prepares and administers approved medications and immunizations per order from the Provider.
• Record data in the medical record according to documentation guidelines.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, medical record requests and abstraction, referrals, check-in/check-out.
• Process test results and provide timely results to patients via e-message, mail or phone.
• Participates in outreach to patients to drive engagement among eligible patient groups.
• Maintain clinical and office supplies and equipment for treatments.
