Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking a qualified Medical Assistant to join our team and support a primary care physician in delivering high‑quality patient care. The role combines front-desk responsibilities with clinical tasks to ensure a smooth patient experience from check-in to discharge.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of MA experience, completed a recognized MA program, and holds MA certification/registration where required. CPR/BLS is required at start date; phlebotomy experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as Medical Assistant.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program.
• National or state-specific MA certification or registration is preferred/required where required.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to rooms and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Take vitals, draw blood, administer injections, assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations per provider order.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, check-in/out.
• Document data in the medical record per guidelines.
• Process test results and communicate with patients as directed.
• Maintain supplies and equipment for treatments.
