Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. The position supports a primary care physician, delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring a smooth guest experience in our care model.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of MA experience, graduation from an MA program, CPR/BLS certification, and prefers phlebotomy experience. Training on site, with opportunities to advance within a values-driven workplace focused on patients first.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or other related program.
• National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred.
• MA certification or registration is required for employment in States where certification/registration is required.
• CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to room and ensures exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Reviews patient information and gathers updated health data for the provider.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, administer injections, and assist with procedures.
• Work with contracted labs for additional tests.
• Prepares and administers medications and immunizations as ordered by the Provider.
• Coordinate with care team to develop patient plans of care.
