Job summary

Marathon Health Inc. seeks an experienced Medical Assistant to join our care team. The role blends clinical support with front-desk duties, collaborating with a primary care physician to deliver high-quality patient care and a welcoming guest experience.

The position requires 1 year of MA experience, MA program graduation, CPR/BLS, and preferred phlebotomy. Responsibilities include vitals, medications, injections, patient intake, documentation, and coordinating referrals in a patient-centered

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or other related program.
• National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to rooms and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Review medical information and gather updated health information for the provider.
• Take vitals, assist with procedures, and work with labs for tests.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider.
• Coordinate patient care plans with the care team and address gaps in care.
• Front desk duties including scheduling, record requests, referrals, and check-in/out.
• Document data in medical records and communicate test results to patients.
• Engage patients to drive participation and manage supplies and equipment.
