Job summary

Marathon Health, LLC is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our care team. The MA will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver high-quality patient care and ensure an exceptional guest experience. The role blends clinical responsibilities with front-desk tasks to manage the full patient journey.

We expect 1+ year MA experience, formal MA training, and CPR/BLS certification. National or state MA certification is preferred, with phlebotomy experience valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year as Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification/registration preferred.
• MA certification/registration required where mandated by state.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are stocked.
• Review medical information and update health data for the provider.
• Take vitals, draw blood, give injections, and assist with procedures.
• Work with contracted labs for additional tests.
• Prepare and administer medications/immunizations as ordered.
• Collaborate with care team to develop patient care plans.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, chart requests, referrals, check-in/out.
• Document data accurately in the medical record.
• Communicate test results to patients via e-message/phone.
