Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our care team in a primary care setting. You will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver high-quality patient care and create a positive guest experience.

The role involves clinical duties, front desk responsibilities, and coordination of care across the patient journey; CPR/BLS certification is required at start date, with MA certification preferred by location.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as Medical Assistant.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• State or national MA certification/registration strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to rooms and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Take vitals, draw blood, administer injections, bandage wounds.
• Prepare and administer medications/immunizations as ordered by Provider.
• Front desk duties including scheduling, records requests, referrals, and coordination of specialist visits.
• Document data in medical records according to guidelines; notify provider of updates.
• Process test results and communicate timely results to patients.
• Support outreach to patients to improve engagement.
