Job summary

Health Plus Ortho Management / Advanced Orthopedics Sports Medicine is seeking an AR Billing and Collection Representative I to analyze past-due accounts and coordinate with third-party payers to resolve payment discrepancies. This on-site role is based in Freehold, with hours Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM.

Responsibilities include updating AR accounts, denials appeals, patient and payer communications, and monthly litigation reporting. Requires 4+ years in medical AR and proficiency in Excel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years experience in medical accounts receivable office.
• Knowledge of healthcare insurance billing required.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Minimum High School Degree or GED equivalent.
• English
• Knowledge in: Microsoft Excel

Responsibilities

• Analyze and update all assigned AR accounts to ensure timely resolution and closure per payer guidelines.
• Cross-trained on back-office tasks including posting, AR (Insurance & Patient collection), denial appeals, charge modifications, adjustments, Medicare accounts.
• Phone line must be on and receive calls related to patient bills from patients or insurance companies.
• Check Navinet or payor websites for payment status and set follow-up on open balances.
• Assist with pre-surgery pricing checks and related duties using Surgimate.
• Provide monthly updates on litigation accounts and closures.
• Answer billing questions clearly and politely; pull charts/files as needed.
