Health Plus Ortho Management / Advanced Orthopedics Sports Medicine in Freehold, NJ is seeking an AR Billing and Collection Representative I. This role analyzes overdue accounts, coordinates with payers and internal teams, and aims to minimize financial risk while recovering overdue payments and litigated claims.

Typical hours are Mon-Fri 8:30–5:00; on-site location in Freehold, NJ. The position requires at least 4 years in medical AR, knowledge of healthcare billing, and proficiency in

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years experience in medical accounts receivable office
• Knowledge of healthcare insurance billing required
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
• Minimum High School Degree or GED equivalent
• English
• Knowledge in: Microsoft Excel

Responsibilities

• Analyze assigned AR accounts to ensure timely and appropriate solution and closure
• Cross-trained on back office including AR, denial appeals, charge modifications, Medicare accounts
• Answer billing questions clearly and politely and pull necessary documents
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with laws
• Document status and strategy to bring claims to closure
• Prepare logs, tracking and trend reports and discuss denial trends with urgency
• Reconcile AR accounts and process adjustments and refunds
• Participate in billing and collection meetings
• Complete new hire training and annual compliance training
• Complete timesheets and payroll processing accurately
