The role emphasizes timely resolution of payments and adherence to payer guidelines in a busy clinical setting.

The position requires at least 4 years in medical AR, knowledge of healthcare billing, and strong Excel skills. Office-based in Freehold, NJ with standard weekday hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years experience in medical accounts receivable office.
• Knowledge of healthcare insurance billing.
• Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and update AR accounts to ensure timely resolution according to payer guidelines.
• Cross-train in back-office tasks including posting, AR, denial appeals, and Medicare accounts.
• Manage calls related to patient bills and insurance communications.
• Check Navinet or payer portals for payment status and set follow-up for open balances.
• Provide monthly updates on litigation accounts and closures.
• Answer billing questions clearly and pull charts/files as needed.
• Document all accounts with current status and closure strategy.
• Compile claims data and track denial trends for reporting.
