Job summary

Health Plus Ortho Management / Advanced Orthopedics Sports Medicine in Freehold, NJ, seeks an AR Billing and Collection Representative I to analyze past due accounts and coordinate with third party payers and internal teams to resolve payment discrepancies and recover overdue payments. This is an on-site role with standard daytime hours.

The successful candidate will have experience in medical billing, strong Excel skills, and a commitment to accurate, timely follow-up with payers and patients.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of medical accounts receivable experience.
• Knowledge of healthcare insurance billing.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Analyze assigned AR accounts and update status to ensure timely resolution in line with payer guidelines.
• Coordinate between third party payers and internal teams on payment discrepancies and delayed payments.
• Maintain daily phone availability to handle patient and insurer inquiries.
• Monitor payor portals for payment status and follow up on open balances.
• Prepare monthly updates on litigation or disputed accounts and closure status.
• Document all accounts with current status and recovery strategy.
