Job summary

Waltonwood is seeking a Med Tech to serve as a care provider, medical aide, and team leader in our resident communities. You will administer medications, support ADLs, and work with Caregivers to preserve resident independence and safety.

You will report to the Wellness Coordinator as part of the Resident Care team, coordinate with physicians and pharmacies, and help maintain compassionate, dignified care while promoting safety and a cheerful, professional presence across shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CNA certification required in NC.
• Med Tech or caregiving experience required.
• Experience with elderly and memory impairment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications according to resident charts and document administration.
• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and daily tasks.
• Participate in shift-change meetings to communicate resident status.
• Assist with janitorial tasks as needed and support team operations.
• Act as shift supervisor to ensure resident care needs are met.
• Coordinate with physicians and pharmacies on medication orders.
• Report changes in resident conditions to physicians, families, and leadership.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, caregivers, and healthcare staff.
• Provide emotional support and maintain dignity and respect for residents.
• Promote safety and wellbeing through procedures and safety practices.
