Job summary

Waltonwood is seeking a Med Tech who will provide medication administration, assist residents with ADLs, and support a safe, dignified environment. You will collaborate with caregivers, physicians, and the Wellness team to maintain independence and wellbeing for seniors in our Waltonwood communities.

This role emphasizes leadership in shift changes, adherence to care protocols, and compassionate engagement with residents and their families, while promoting a positive, respectful community

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• In North Carolina, CNA is required.
• Caregiving or Med Tech experience is required.
• Experience working with the elderly and memory-impaired residents.

Responsibilities

• Administer medication to residents following medical charts and documentation protocols.
• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living and daily personal tasks.
• Participate in shift change meetings and communicate resident status to teammates.
• Assist with janitorial tasks and support overall cleanliness of the community.
• Act as shift supervisor to ensure care needs are met and coordinate with Caregivers.
• Collaborate with physicians and the pharmacy to ensure proper medication ordering.
• Report changes in resident health to physicians, families, and leadership.
• Communicate with residents, families, Caregivers, Wellness Coordinator, and medical staff.
• Provide emotional support with respect, dignity, and a cheerful demeanor.
• Promote safety and wellbeing through procedures and awareness of hazards.
• Perform other duties assigned by Wellness Coordinator and leadership.
