Job summary

Waltonwood Canton is seeking a Med Tech to support resident care in our Waltonwood community. The role combines caregiving, medical aide functions and leadership within the Resident Care team, including medication administration and EDLS support.

The position reports to the Wellness Coordinator and emphasizes independence, safety and compassionate resident interaction in daily activities and social engagement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Caregiving or Med Tech experience is required.
• Experience working with the elderly and memory impairment.

Responsibilities

• Administer medication to residents following medical charts and documentation protocols.
• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living and mobility needs.
• Participate in shift change meetings to relay resident status and needs.
• Support Caregivers during shifts with transfers and safety tasks.
• Collaborate with physicians and pharmacies to ensure proper medication orders.
