Job summary

Waltonwood is seeking a part-time Med Tech to support residents in our Waltonwood communities. This role combines caregiving, medical aide, and supervisory elements to help residents maintain independence and safety, including medication administration and collaboration with Caregivers.

The position supports daily care tasks, ADLs, and engagement activities, while ensuring compassionate, high-quality service in a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• CNA certification required in North Carolina.
• Caregiving or Med Tech experience is required.
• Experience working with the elderly and memory impairment.

Responsibilities

• Administer medication to residents based on medical charts and document/restock med carts.
• Assist residents with ADLs including toileting, showering, meals, and mobility.
• Participate in shift change meetings to relay resident status and needs.
• Assist with janitorial tasks as needed.
• Act as shift supervisor to ensure resident care needs are met.
• Assist Caregivers during shifts with transfers and other duties.
• Coordinate with physicians and pharmacy for proper medication orders.
• Report changes in resident conditions to physicians, families and leadership.
• Communicate with residents, families, Caregivers, Wellness Coordinator and doctors.
• Provide emotional support and maintain a positive, respectful demeanor.
• Promote safety and wellbeing with procedures and equipment.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by the Wellness Coordinator and leadership.
