Job summary

Waltonwood is seeking a Med Tech to be a care provider, medical aide, and team leader within our communities. You will administer medication, support ADLs, and collaborate with Caregivers to maintain resident independence and safety.

Reporting to the Wellness Coordinator, you will communicate with physicians, families, and staff, ensure proper medication orders, and promote compassion and safety in daily care activities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• In North Carolina, CNA is required.
• Caregiving or Med Tech experience preferred.
• Experience working with elderly residents and memory impairment.

Responsibilities

• Administer medication to residents based on medical charts and document procedures.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as toileting, bathing, dressing and meals.
• Participate in shift change meetings and communicate resident status.
• Assist with janitorial tasks as needed and support overall cleanliness.
• Act as shift supervisor to ensure resident care needs are met.
• Support Caregivers during transfers and other duties as needed.
• Coordinate with physicians and pharmacies to ensure proper medication orders.
• Report changes in medical conditions to physicians, families, and leadership.
• Communicate with residents, families, Caregivers, and other team members.
