Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a dedicated Medication Aide to support residents in a caring, compliant environment. The role emphasizes accurate medication administration, adherence to policies, and collaboration with nursing staff to ensure resident safety and well-being.

The position requires a CNA and Med Tech license in good standing, plus completion of the Medication Aide Course. Flexible scheduling and opportunities for training and career advancement are offered.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of Medication Aide Course is required.
• Must possess CNA and Med Tech license from State Board in good standing.
• Pass 2 medication observations annually.
• Pass all medication cart audits.
• Complete 4 hours of medication administration education annually.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist with transfers.
• Maintain professional conduct and uniform.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Report incidents and concerns to appropriate staff.
• Perform housekeeping tasks as directed by supervisor.
• Respond to resident calls and emergencies.
• Help plan and conduct activity programs.
• Document resident status and communications.
• Assist with move-in transitions and emotional support.
• Communicate medication needs to HCD and document in EMAR/Daily Log.
• Re-order medications and liaise with pharmacy and families as needed.
