Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of Medication Aide Course required.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care and assistance with activities of daily living.
• Administer prescribed medications within scope of practice.
• Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures for the role.
• Report incidents and care concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Perform housekeeping duties as directed.
• Respond promptly to resident calls or emergencies.
• Assist in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Assist residents to dining and activities, monitor attendance.
• Document resident status and communicate needs to HCD and in Daily Log.
• Complete medication cart audits and pass medication administration observations.
• Re-order medications and communicate changes to residents and families as needed with documentation.
• Document all medication administration in EMAR/MAR and Daily Log.
• Attend in-services, trainings, and staff meetings.
