Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Med Tech to provide quality care and assist with daily living activities for residents in Charleston, SC. The role includes medication administration within scope, documentation, and timely reporting of concerns to nursing leadership.

The position requires completion of the Medication Aide Course, CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 60 days), and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must have completed the Medication Aide Course.
• Must satisfactorily pass 2 medication observations annually.
• Must satisfactorily pass all medication cart audits.
• Must attend 4 additional hours of medication administration education annually.
• CPR/First Aid certified, or be willing to become certified within 60 days of hire.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, and push or carry 25 lbs.
• Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in-writing.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care and assistance with activities of daily living for residents.
• Assist with administration of prescribed medications within scope of practice.
• Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures.
• Respond to resident calls and emergencies promptly.
• Assist in planning and conducting resident activity programs.
• Document medication administration in EMAR/MAR and Daily Log.
