Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Med Tech to provide quality care and assist residents with daily activities in a compassionate, professional manner. The role includes administering prescribed medications within scope and documenting in EMAR/MAR.

The successful candidate will hold a CNA and Med Tech license, complete the Medication Aide Course, and meet annual training and competency requirements. The position may require weekends and holidays with a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have completed the Medication Aide Course.
• Must possess both current CNA and Med Tech license from the State Board of Nursing in good standing.
• Must satisfactorily pass 2 medication observations annually.
• Must satisfactorily pass all medication cart audits assigned.
• Must attend 4 additional hours of medication administration education annually.
• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in-writing.
• Must be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel.
• Must be CPR/First Aid certified, or be willing to become certified within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care and assistance with activities of daily living.
• Assist with administration of prescribed medications within scope of practice.
• Report incidents and communicate resident status to appropriate staff.
• Perform housekeeping duties and maintain a clean environment as directed.
• Assist residents with move-in transitions and accompany to meals and activities.
• Document medication administration on EMAR/MAR and Daily Log.
• Re-order medications and communicate changes with families as needed.
