Job summary
Harmony Senior Services is hiring a Med Tech in Mechanicsville, VA to provide quality care and assist residents with daily living activities. You will help administer medications within the scope of practice, document in EMAR/MAR, and coordinate with nursing staff.
The role requires a High School diploma or GED, CNA and Med Tech licenses, and completion of the Medication Aide Course. A flexible schedule including weekends is expected, with competitive pay and benefits.
Qualifications
- Must have High School Diploma or GED.
- Must possess both current CNA and Med Tech license from the State Board of Nursing in good standing.
- Must satisfactorily pass 2 medication observations annually.
- Must attend 4 additional hours of medication administration education annually.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living.
- Assist with administration of prescribed medications.
- Perform housekeeping duties as directed by supervisor.
- Respond promptly to all resident calls for assistance or emergencies.
- Communicate resident status and appointments to the team.
- Move residents safely and assist with transfers.
- Document all medication administration in EMAR/MAR.
