Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Mechanicsville, VA is hiring a Med Tech to provide compassionate resident care, assist with daily living activities, and help with prescribed medication administration within scope of practice. The role includes maintaining records, auditing medication carts, and supporting move-ins and activities for residents.

Required CNA and Med Tech licenses, CPR/First Aid, strong communication, and ability to lift 50 lbs. Flexible schedule including weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have completed the Medication Aide Course.
• Must possess CNA and Med Tech licenses in good standing.
• Must pass medication observations annually.
• Must pass medication cart audits.
• Must attend required medication education annually.
• Must communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and push or carry 25 lbs.
• Must be able to represent the community professionally.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Assist with administration of prescribed medications within scope of practice.
• Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures.
• Perform housekeeping and assist residents to activities and meals.
• Respond promptly to resident calls and emergencies.
• Document resident status, appointments, admissions, and transfers.
• Complete medication cart audits and record on EMAR/MAR.
• Re-orders medications and communicates changes to pharmacy and residents' families.
• Support move-in transitions and plan activity programs.
