Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Lorton, VA is seeking a Med Tech to provide quality care and assist with medications for residents. You will support activities of daily living, assist with dining and daily activities, and ensure accurate documentation in EMAR/MAR and the Daily Log.

Requires CNA and Med Tech licenses, CPR/First Aid, and strong communication skills. Responsibilities include attending medication trainings, completing cart audits, and reporting concerns promptly.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have completed the Medication Aide Course.
• Must possess both current CNA and Med Tech license from the State Board of Nursing in good standing.
• Must satisfactorily pass 2 medication observations annually.
• Must satisfactorily pass all medication cart audits assigned.
• Must attend 4 additional hours of medication administration education annually.
• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in-writing.
• Must be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel.

Responsibilities

• Assist with administration of prescribed medications within the scope of practice.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Report incidents and concerns to appropriate staff.
• Support residents with meals, dining, and activities.
• Maintain confidentiality and documentation in EMAR/MAR and Daily Log.
