The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, completion of a Medication Aide Course, and current CNA and Med Tech licenses in good standing, with ability to pass annual medication observations and cart audits. The position involves teamwork, confidentiality, and flexible scheduling including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Completed the Medication Aide Course.
• Must possess CNA and Med Tech licenses in good standing.
• Must satisfactorily pass 2 medication observations annually.
• Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Assists with administration of prescribed medications within the established scope of practice.
• Maintains working knowledge of all policies and procedures pertaining to the position.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living.
• Reports incidents involving residents to appropriate individuals (e.g., HCD, RN/LPN, or ED).
• Performs housekeeping duties as directed by supervisor.
• Responds promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergency alerts.
• Assists in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
• Follows confidentiality policies regarding release of resident information.
• Assists residents to and from dining room and activities.
• Checks on residents and ensures attendance at meals and activities.
• Communicates resident status and upcoming information to appropriate personnel.
• Assists new residents with move-in transition and provides emotional support.
• Attends medication trainings and completes cart audits as assigned.
• Passes all medication administration observations.
