Job summary

Westmont Living, Inc. in Encinitas, CA is seeking a compassionate MED TECH to support residents with medication setup and administration within a licensed community. The role requires accurate MAR documentation, adherence to state requirements, and collaboration with nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self-administration of their medications.
• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at the direction of the RN and RSD.
• Document medication assistance on MARs promptly and accurately; no blanks, and note PRN reasons and effectiveness.

What we need from you:

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self-administration of their medications

• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at the direction of the RN and RSD.

• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including:

  • Document medication assistance on Medication Assistance Records (MARs) immediately after assistance
  • Leaves no blanks on MARs
  • Document reasons for PRN medication on reverse of MARs and effectiveness of medication

• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community

• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test

• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
