Westmont Living is seeking a MED TECH for Westmont of Riverside, a senior living community focused on compassionate care and safety. The role includes medication setup, assisting residents with self-administration, and thorough MAR documentation to meet policy requirements.

Applicants must clear a criminal background, pass health screenings, and have or obtain basic first aid within 30 days. The position offers benefits and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Criminal record clearance prior to employment.
• Must pass health screens including TB and drug test.
• Current basic first aid certification or obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the medication program with self-administration.
• Set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or RN/RSD.
• Document medication assistance on MARs immediately after assistance; leaves no blanks.
• Document reasons for PRN medication on MARs and effectiveness of medication.

What we need from you:

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self- administration of their medications
• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at the direction of the RN and RSD.
• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including:
  • Document medication assistance on Medication Assistance Records (MARs) immediately after assistance
  • Leaves no blanks on MARs
  • Document reasons for PRN medication on reverse of MARs and effectiveness of medication
• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community
• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
