Harder Mechanical Contractors Inc is seeking a Project Engineer to plan, schedule, and execute mechanical scopes on large data center projects. You will coordinate with multiple trades, review drawings for constructability, and develop short-term look-ahead schedules to support field execution.

Ideal candidates have 1–4 years in construction management and a degree in Construction Management or Engineering. The role offers a salaried position with competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or engineering or equivalent experience.
• 1–4 years of construction management experience.
• Familiarity with mechanical construction systems and BIM tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute assigned mechanical scopes on large mission critical data center projects.
• Coordinate daily with superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, vendors, designers and owners.
• Review drawings to verify constructability and identify conflicts before installation.
• Develop work packages, installation plans and short-term look-ahead schedules.
• Track labor productivity, quantities installed, earned value, and percent complete.
• Prepare labor and equipment forecasts and cost projections.
• Coordinate procurement activities including material releases and deliveries.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, turnover documentation and as-built drawings.
• Support commissioning activities, startup planning, system turnover and owner acceptance.
• Identify project risks early and develop solutions.
• Mentor Field Engineers and promote safety culture.
