Data Center Construction Project Manager, MEP

An industry‑leading construction firm with a strong national presence is seeking a Data Center Construction Project Manager, MEP to support the delivery of complex, high‑value infrastructure projects. You will oversee critical MEP scopes within large‑scale data center environments, partnering with cross‑functional teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage MEP project scopes from preconstruction through final delivery within data center builds
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts
  • Partner with field teams to ensure alignment on milestones, safety, and quality standards
  • Lead procurement efforts for MEP systems, ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency
  • Facilitate subcontractor coordination, negotiations, and contract execution
  • Track and report on project performance, proactively addressing risks and challenges
  • Oversee change order processes and ensure proper cost and schedule adjustments
  • Interface with clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates and resolving issues
  • Ensure compliance with permitting, inspections, and applicable codes
  • Drive project closeout activities including documentation, punch lists, and turnover
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • 4 plus years of experience managing MEP scopes within data center or large commercial construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of construction project lifecycle, budgeting, and scheduling
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
  • Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating complex project teams
  • Understanding of safety regulations, building codes, and compliance standards
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to work on‑site
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience specifically within data center or mission critical environments
  • Familiarity with preconstruction planning and value engineering practices
