Job summary

Harder Mechanical is seeking a Project Engineer to support the construction of a large-scale mission critical data center in rural Texas. You will coordinate with project teams, field leadership, and stakeholders to deliver mechanical scopes safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Qualifications

• 1-4 years of construction management experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Business Management, Mechanical, Industrial, Civil Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and execute a specific mechanical scope on data center projects.
• Coordinate daily with superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, vendors, designers and owners to maintain progress.
• Review drawings for constructability and identify conflicts before installation.
• Develop work packages, installation plans and look-ahead schedules for field execution.
• Track labor, quantities, earned value and percent complete.
• Prepare forecasts and cost projections for assigned scopes.
• Coordinate procurement: releases, POs, fabrications, deliveries, inventory.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, turnover docs and as-built drawings.
• Support commissioning, turnover, and owner acceptance.
• Identify risks and develop solutions; mentor Field Engineers.
