Job summary

General Motors is looking for Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer Interns to contribute hands-on in plant operations and project support. You will perform root cause analysis, analyze manufacturing methods, and assist in tool design, maintenance, and upgrades across multiple plant areas.

You will work full-time during the internship, with responsibilities spanning problem solving, equipment support, and coordinating machinery improvements while adapting to a fast-paced manufacturing environment at

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics.
• Graduating Aug 2027 – Jun 2029.
• Able to work full-time, 40 hours/week.
• Willing to work in a plant environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical root cause analysis and problem solving.
• Analyze product, process and technology for manufacturing methods.
• Assist in design/build of tools and equipment or improvements to processes.
• Assist maintenance personnel in operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Troubleshoot maintenance and equipment issues.
• Coordinate machinery upgrade projects.
