DLR Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to contribute to the design of mechanical systems within an integrated design team. You will collaborate with engineers and professionals across disciplines, gaining hands-on experience from concept through construction administration.

The internship runs May 18 through August 6, 2027, is paid, and involves mentorship, project work, and weekly learning sessions within the EPX program.

Qualificações

• Completed at least one year at an ABET-accredited Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering program.
• Experience or interest in BIM (Autodesk Revit MEP).
• Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam (preferred).
• A third-year student in an accredited engineering program (preferred).

Responsabilidades

• Work with a licensed engineer designing mechanical systems for buildings (new construction or renovations).
• Attend design team meetings and observe coordination within a multi-disciplinary design team.
• Assist a mechanical engineer with design and development of construction documents using Revit.
• Visit an active construction site (contingent on local status).
• Develop HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection designs from concept through completion.
