Job summary

DLR Group is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will join our integrated design team and contribute to electrical system design for diverse buildings, collaborating with architects, engineers, and interior designers.

The internship runs May 18 through August 6, 2027 and is a paid, full-time opportunity; you will gain hands-on experience from early concepts through documentation and construction administration, under mentorship from senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Completed at least one year in ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering program.
• Experience or interest in BIM workflows (e.g., Autodesk Revit MEP).

Responsibilities

• Work with a licensed engineer designing electrical systems for new construction and/or building renovation projects.
• Attend design team meetings with an electrical engineer and observe coordination among multi-disciplinary teams.
• Assist an electrical engineer with the design and development of construction documents primarily using Revit.
• Visit an active construction site (contingent on local project status).
