Job summary

DLR Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to contribute to mechanical design for diverse building projects. You will work with licensed engineers and cross-disciplinary teams in an EPX program that emphasizes mentorship, project work, and weekly learning sessions.

The paid, full-time internship runs May 18 through August 6, 2027, offering hands-on experience from concept through construction administration and exposure to our sustainable design practices.

Qualifications

• Completed at least one year in an ABET-accredited Mechanical or Architectural Engineering program.
• Experience or interest in BIM workflow (Autodesk Revit MEP).
• FE exam passed is preferred; third-year student preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems for new construction or renovations under guidance.
• Attend design team meetings and observe coordination within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Assist with development of construction documents using Revit.
