Job summary

Syska Hennessy Group is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineering Graduate to join our EDT program in Washington, DC. The role supports design and engineering teams on diverse projects, with CAD/BIM drafting and coordination responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering with a Winter 2026 through Summer 2027 graduation window, and may include internship experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering with graduation Winter 2026 to Spring/Summer 2027.
• FE or EIT preferred.
• Knowledge of latest MEP AutoCAD; REVIT experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create basic designs under the direction of a senior engineer/designer.
• Learn drawing organization and company standards.
• Perform CAD/BIM drafting for a variety of projects and sizes.
• Coordinate with other trades under guidance of senior staff.
• Support design and engineering for new installations, retrofits, replacements, upgrades.
• Take ownership of complete, accurate, timely work assignments.
• Assist engineers with field investigations and site visits.
