Job summary

Syska Hennessy Group is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineering Graduate to join our EDT program in New York. You will support our engineering teams, learn CAD/BIM drawing, and contribute to designs for new installations, retrofits, and upgrades while collaborating with senior engineers and other trades.

Qualifications

• Candidate possesses a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and is eager to grow in a collaborative design environment.
• Knowledge of the latest MEP AutoCAD; REVIT experience is a plus.
• Proficient in design and calculation software; MS Office Suite.
• E.I.T. or FE is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create basic designs under the direction of the senior engineer or senior designer.
• Learn drawing organization and company standards.
• Perform CAD/BIM-drafting for varied projects and sizes.
• Coordinate with the designs of other trades under guidance of senior staff.
• Support design and engineering efforts for new installations, retrofits, replacements and upgrades.
• Take ownership of completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of work.
