Job summary

Syska Hennessy Group in Chicago is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineering Graduate to join our EDT program and support diverse ME designs. You will work with senior engineers on projects, gaining hands-on experience in CAD/REVIT and system design across multiple sectors.

The role emphasizes learning, quality, and collaboration within a supportive, engineering-focused culture. A Winter 2026 to Summer 2027 graduation window is expected, with potential for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with graduation between Winter 2026 and Summer 2027.
• Previous engineering internship is a plus.
• Knowledge of MEP AutoCAD; REVIT experience is a plus.
• Proficient in design and calculation software; MS Office Suite.
• E.I.T. or FE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create basic designs under the direction of the senior engineer.
• Learn drawing organization and company standards.
• Perform CAD/REVIT drafting for a variety of projects and project sizes.
• Coordinate with other trades under guidance of senior staff.
• Support design and engineering for new installations, retrofits, replacements, upgrades.
• Take ownership of completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
• Assist engineers with field investigations and site visits.
• Participate in EDT program training and activities.
• Attend continuing education seminars on technical topics.
